Money vs Design

This is a good example how you can over think a design. My plan originally was to do a higher dollar "Affliction-esque" design. the more color the more i get paid. So I put this together.
However after it was finished I decided to see what it would look like monochromatic. Turned out it looked much better, at least to me and even though it won't fetch as much from my buyer I went for the better looking design.
Below you will see the full color and then the Steel and Tan variants.

Gran Torino

Put this design together as a spec for a possible new client. I know they have a license with Ford. I wanted to do this in a style unlike i ever used before. Combination hand drawn and vector shapes. In both...

Von Clutch

My partner's clothing line that God willing will be off the ground early next year is called Von Clutch. Its all garage type clothing and art. Posters, banners, stickers and such of all the art.

So my first assignment from him for this line was a pinup type design. It's based on the "our lady of......" old spanish paintings.

Here is the commission mocked up on a shirt.

Sketchbook Pro for iPad

I finally got around to using Sketchbook Pro for iPad and I love it! Granted my first 2 attempts are pretty rudimentary but I think it shows promise and I can't wait to mess around more with the program.
