I woke up at two a.m. this morning with the images above in my head and an amazing peace.

Two things will always remind you of your past.  Unforgiving people and the devil.
You don’t have to listen to either of them.

Let it go and move forward.
I don’t know if you journal much or at all.   A friend of mine named Clint (he’s a pretty manly dude) does and that inspired me a couple years ago to get serious about it.  I don’t do it everyday but I try.

What I like about it is the next day of the journal is always blank.

No matter what has happened. How many mistakes were made. The next page is always there fresh and new.

The Bible promises a life like that, blank page when we accept Jesus.  The old stuff might still be there but He has whited it out.
Psalms 103:12 says “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”

Choose to live forward.  To fill the blank pages with your love for Him and the adventures he sets before you.

Thanks for reading.

  1. Alan, I appreciate your willingness to share your heart. Thank you for sharing and blessing others.

  2. I wish I would have seen this sooner. I had an “episode” at work and let it bug me pretty much all week. I even tried to pray that God would guide me through my feelings, but I wouldn’t hand it over to him with my heart. This has hit me and want to do better next time. To be willing and whole heartily hand it to Him.
