Writers Block

Sometimes we do and do and do and we still don’t feel like we got the reward we were looking for.  Sometimes the outcome of things we pray about are not what we prayed for.

I don’t really know what to say about that except this.

For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness.  No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.
HEBREWS 12:10-11

When we lose when things don’t turn out we have to remember the story isn’t over. There are chapters still left to be written. Just like the Characters in your favorite book do not know how the author is weaving their stories together to eventually glorify himself as a best selling author we don’t know where our plot will lead. With every twist and turn we are driven forward in our story. Both good and bad intertwined stretching forward with prose that would make the psalmist himself look like a readers digest poet.

All failures in this world are temporary. God doesn't get writers block, the story is being written. When the final page is written and the last period placed there is heaven and the presence of the author to look forward to.

For me, that is more than enough.

Thanks for reading

Alan
